Exercises
1. What is an input device? Write down which input devices you know and post an image of each one.
An input device is a peripheral (Computer piece added to do more functions) used to provide data and control signals to a Computer or any information processing system
Examples of input devices: Scanner
The abbreviation RAM may refer to:
Random access memory, computer memory that can be read from and written to in arbitrary sequenceAnd it is Erased every time you turn off the computer. I'ts a very important parameter because this will be how quick is your computer to use some specific aplications.
Read-Only Memory, a class of storage media used in computers and other electronic devices. This tells the computer how to load the operating system.
4. What is a backing storage? Which types of backing storage do you know?
EXAMPLES:
2.What is an output device? Write down which output devices you know and post and image of each one.
An output device is any piece of computer hardware used to communicate the results of data processing to the outside.
3. What is the difference between RAM and ROM?
The abbreviation RAM may refer to:

4. What is a backing storage? Which types of backing storage do you know?
Computer information storage, often called storage or memory, refers to computer components, devices, that retain digital data used for computing for some interval of time.
EXAMPLES:
Hard drives
USB drives
CD, DVD, and Blu-Ray drives
CompactFlash cards
All types of cards (SD, XD,...)
Tape drives

Data
1. What is Data?
Data is information that has no meaning. For Ex. 0111001011
2. Explain the difference between Data and Information
8 bits in a Byte
1073741824 bytes in a Gigabyte
1024 bytes in a Kilobyte
4. What do the letters LAN and WAN stand for?
LAN means: Local Area networks. These are the networks that you see in the most of the offices, schools, and cybercafes.
WAN IS Wide Area Netwotk They are used when the computers need to be connected with different places
5. Search the internet and look for images that explains what is:
Data is information that has no meaning. For Ex. 0111001011
2. Explain the difference between Data and Information
- Numbers, characters, symbols, images etc., which can be processed by a computer.
- Data must be interpreted, by a human or machine, to derive meaning
- "Information is interpreted data" *
